HORIZON CITY, Texas — A 23-year-old man was apprehended on the morning of November 19 after police in Horizon City found he had several active arrest warrants during an investigation into a rollover accident. According to the Horizon City Police Department, officials responded to the scene around 7:47 a.m. at the intersection of Horizon Boulevard and Gretna Avenue.
During their investigation, officers learned that one of the passengers involved, identified as Jesus Adrian Marmolejo, allegedly assaulted the driver of another vehicle. The victim opted not to press charges in this instance.
A routine background check revealed that Marmolejo had an outstanding arrest warrant from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department for aggravated assault causing bodily injury in a domestic violence case. Additionally, there was a violation of probation warrant issued by the United States Marshals Service.
Marmolejo was arrested and taken to a local hospital for medical clearance due to the accident before being booked into the El Paso County Detention Center on his outstanding warrants.
