




EL PASO, Texas – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has undertaken a multi-day operation aimed at suppressing retail thefts at the Eastlake Marketplace, located at 13381 Gateway West in El Paso County, Texas.
“With the holiday season approaching, we want to remind the public that theft is not a victimless crime: it impacts our local businesses, their employees, and the entire community. Our agents and detectives will continue to work closely with retailers to deter criminal activity and ensure that customers feel safe when visiting stores in El Paso County,” stated Sheriff Oscar Ugarte.
As a result of this operation, the following individuals were arrested on charges related to theft:
- Trent Bettencourt, 25 – ULTA Beauty – Theft of property < $750 – Bond set at $2,000
- Trent Bettencourt, 25 – Dollar Tree – Theft of property < $100 – Bond set at $1
- Mia Celeste González, 20 – ULTA Beauty – Theft of property < $100 – Bond set at $500
- Brian Matthew James, 44 – Burlington – Theft of property < $100 – Bond set at $1
- Isaac González, 35 – ULTA Beauty – Theft of property < $750 – Bond set at $1,500
- Vanessa Negrete, 43, an employee at ULTA Beauty, was charged with theft of property valued under $750, with a bond set at $1,500.
